Memberships help ensure that our Education and Restoration programs and services continue. Many schools lack the funding and support for students to go on much needed outdoor education fieldtrips. BTN recognizes this and strives to provide exciting, interactive environmental education programs AT schools through native plant Habitat Gardens and supporting programs, all aligned with California State Science Content Standards. To be sure that our naturalists have the proper materials and supplies we ask that you donate towards specific programs to enable our schools to have a chance to learn about Natural Science and Biodiversity.

Through these educational programs we can begin to 'Save Habitat One Person at a Time!'

Native Plant Propagation BTN recognizes the need for the ready availability of native plants. To this end BTN is working towards opening a Native Plant Propagation Center. A small capital fund, Space and a small greenhouse is all we need to start. If you have the space and would like to dedicate it's use to the propagation of native plants contact us here: Philanthropy

Habitat Restoration.Restoration can be an expensive proposition.Scientific studies, manual labor, contractors and permitting all cost money. To assist BTN in bringing back the native ecosystems to our open spaces, please offer support below:

A $2500.00 gift can support a Service Learning Project for a single High School class for one semester.

A $5000.00 gift can support a Service Learning Project for a single High School class for one entire year.

A $10,000 gift can provide Plant material and seed for an acre of restoration.

A $25,000 gift can provide funding for impact reports, permitting and site surveys.

a $50,000 gift can provide funding for a university level scientific investigation on the proposed site for 2 years.

Restoration Sites vary in need and in condition. The larger the site, the more funding required to ensure that all aspects of the restoration process are accounted for and their needs are met. Contact us for more details on what you would like to fund or support. Other gifts are always welcome.

Staff Salary and Overhead Non-Profit staff are percieved as volunteers by many. Although Non-Profits need volunteers to fulfill many of their goals and functions, core staff members are in fact paid employees at most Non-Profits. BTN wishes to provide competitive salaries and benefits for staff. You can help by assisting us to meet our Salary and Overhead needs. This will enable us to hire and retain qualified, highly educated, experienced and creative staff.

Volunteer Appreciation and Retention Volunteers are the heart blood of most Non-Profits. To this end BTN wishes to thank one and all that have come out to our Volunteer Restoration Days and helped us make this planet a better place in our own backyard! Volunteers deserve recognition and our appreciation. Without them many of our projects would not have succeeded. If you would like to host a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner or BBQ, or even a Beach Day, let us know, we would be happy to put the word out!
