Our mission: To encourage and actively participate in the restoration and conservation of Orange County and California wildlands, through education and restoration programs featuring native plants and biodiversity as a centralizing theme.

Donations and Grants help to ensure that our programs and services for Education and Restoration will continue. Many schools lack the support and funding to allow children and classes to go on much needed outdoor education experience fieldtrips. BTN recognizes this and strives to provide exciting, interactive environmental education through native plant Habitat Gardens and supporting programs, all aligned with California State Content Standards, that travel TO the school. To be sure that our naturalists have the proper materials and supplies we ask that you donate towards specific programs to enable our schools to have a chance to learn about Natural Science and Biodiversity.

Through these bequest programs we can continue to 'Save Habitat One Person at a Time!'

Staff Salary and Overhead Non-Profit staff are percieved as volunteers by many. Although Non-Profits need volunteers to fulfill many of their goals and functions, core staff members are in fact paid employees at most Non-Profits. BTN wishes to provide competitive salaries and benefits for staff. You can help by assisting us to meet our Salary and Overhead needs. This will enable us to hire and retain qualified, highly educated, experienced and creative staff.

Volunteer Appreciation and Retention Volunteers are the heart blood of most Non-Profits. To this end BTN wishes to thank one and all that have come out to our Volunteer Restoration Days and helped us make this planet a better place in our own backyard! Volunteers deserve recognition and our appreciation. Without them many of our projects would not have succeeded. If you would like to host a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner or BBQ, or even a Beach Day, let us know, we would be happy to put the word out!
